I've Got This Plan, See!

Goal: Lose 50 lbs by July 4, 2014
(64 days)

An atypical person must design an atypical plan!  Here's the crazy plan that starts tomorrow at 8AM:
  • Start logging calories both consumed and expended
    • Lose-it! app on phone will be used as the method of record keeping
  • Weigh-in Wednesdays start May 1 immediately after morning pee
  • Beginning at around 8 AM each day
    • Stretch before getting out of bed
    • Take meds so I can continue to live through this journey
    • Do a full aerobics video of my choice
      • Sweatin' with Richard
      • Low Impact with Hanoi Jane
      • DWTS workout
      • Generic aerobic workout
      • etc.
    • Have a 16 oz. water after workout
    • Reward myself with coffee!
  • After all that, shower, get ready and go to work
    • Drink 3 16oz. glasses of water throughout the day
    • Lunch of Salad and Chicken or Salmon
      • Dressing is OK
  • After work if weather is nice, go to Chicago Botanic Garden and walk 3 - 5 miles.
    • If pace is slower due to photography, aim for 5 miles.
    • Have water available and consume as needed
  • Before bed each night:
    • Drink 16 oz. of water
    • Complete the Squat & Plank challenge (it's a 2-month process. Perfect!)
    • Stretch everything out
    • Starting week two, add strength training on Total Gym
  • Additional ways to burn calories:
    • Go up and down the stairs more often at work
    • March/Jog or do calisthenics every time you use the microwave for as long as it is on ... OR
    • Vacuum or do other housework
  • After one week of exercise, begin cutting calories still recording everything.
    • Aim for 500 - 1,000 calories a day
    • Try to exercise off more calories than you consume every day
  • Decide if trying well researched supplements is worth a try and begin when able
  • Journal/blog as needed to keep on track and communicate issues, success, feelings, etc.
Next time: My fear of success on this project
